2-Kebabs

Kebabs are an delightful type of Middle Eastern food, which originated when Arabs arrived in Saudi Arabia. They are usually served as pita bread, skewer kebab (or keba) or any kind of grilled food. Each variety of kebabs is unique but all them have similar methods and  Food Menu recipes. One of my favorites among them is “Kebabs al-Bawali” or skewer kebabs, a Persian style, which known to have existed since 2nd century AD.

There are many different types of kebabs: spicy kebabi, savory kebab, sweet kebab, and lamb kebab, which is also called falafel. As you eat your kebabs, you have to make sure to check if they cooked . If you notice that they are not brown, they have more moisture and need further cooking. Another tip I would like to share with you about kebabs is to leave them as little as possible because they get dry if they keep cut into pieces. These simple tips will help you achieve best results when eating kababs.

3-Dahi Kabob

It said the first time man tasted dahi kebabs he called them kabob and that’s how it became a great delicacy in Pakistan. The name comes from the fact that during ancient times men used to cook beef and lamb together and add onions and spices to their meal. To add flavor to these meals, we use mustard seeds, lemons, cucumbers, and cilantro. Nowadays, the food is often prepared a bit differently due to the increasing popularity. What once seemed quite ordinary is now an exquisite experience.

Before going to bed, before having a nice glass of tea, I am fond of spending some minutes smelling the aroma of dahi. When walking out back, when I sit next to the lake, I always prepare myself for my evening walk and the sound of birds chirping nearby. Once I reach the edge of forest and smell the fresh air, my senses feel revitalized. With dahi (which has recently came to Pakistan), this experience is even better. People go crazy eating this amazing meal. Some people prefer to take it with salad instead of bread. But this meal still maintains its simplicity and taste.

This recipe is easy to follow as it only requires a few essential items, such as eggs, rice, milk, potatoes, onions, wheat germ, saffron, turmeric, chaat masala powder, black pepper, cumin, curry powder, black pepper powder, salt, yogurt, ginger root. It is truly a treat and makes a spectacular breakfast dish. This dish should be the focus of any kitchen!

6-Halwa Chapli

Halwa chapli is one of my favorite Sindhi food. Actually, the term halwa, in itself means “spicy.” So it is not surprising that the flavor of this dish is so bright and strong. Halwa chapli is spicy-sweet, very hot, and very thick. Therefore, the chefs have to put several kinds of fruits in order to achieve a balanced taste. Halwa chapli prepared with semolina (a flat grain), butter, cream, honey, lard, and some ground nuts.  Then, a fragrant aroma fills the shop. From what I see on social media and Instagram posts, it seems that anyone could easily create the same recipe. Also, when baking or making sweets, don’t forget to add your own signature. Make sure everything is as tasty and delicious as your heart desires.
